Short information about us:

Name: Local Action Group “The Land of forests and lakes”

Introduction:

LAG area is located on the border of Wielkopolska, Lower Silesia and Lubuskie, provinces of Poland. We are also located half way between some of the most important cities in Poland – Poznan and Wroclaw. Our Local Action Group covers an area of 1726 km2 and has over 127,000 inhabitants. We have strong agricultural sector on all over area and the improving force of the city Leszno.  The region consists of a large number of lakes and forests and this characteristic determines to hight extent its attractiveness. Tourism in the area is very much focused towards water sports and towards horse, cycle or hiking-tours around the area.The region base also on strong cultural, historical and regional identification: buildings and architecture, local tradition, regional values, folklore tradition.We promote and support all ideas becomes from all sectors in this area.  We are always opened for new ideas and projects from sectors and parties we cooperate with. Area of LAG offers beautiful nature, great cultural and recreation attractions for visitors from Poland and all Europe. We have been trying to create a new vision of our LAG area and reach a new idea with all parties which belong to our activity group.
